mother fuck
I've been hit by a car 
and I could feel 
the front of the car 
pulling me down
pulling me down

Then I remember finding 
myself on the hood 
opening my eyes
seeing the most beautiful 
cloudless blue sky 
but I couldn't find my body 
anywhere. 

Then I remember sensing 
cold and darkness
opening my eyes
seeing the underneath 
of a still moving car 
and I curled into a ball. 

Then I remember finding 
myself laid out on the pavement 
in the sunlight
surrounded by people 
with terrified expressions. 

Then the police 
the EMT's
the ambulance 
the ER ... 

and then the real nightmare began 
and it continues to this day.

Who Am I?

Tho many people stop and stare, 
they hardly know I'm even there.

They see me not with their eyes so cold,
yet speak of me so brash and bold.

They claim to know me, yet know me not,
for in their hearts, I am forgot.

Who am I?

To seek you in all things.
How amazing you are.
Your ways are so mysterious, yet as familiar as my hand.
At times I am lost without a clue, my discernment jammed.
But you are there with me, leading me without me even being aware.
I may feel as if I'm nailed to my cross and you, for a moment,
have turned your face from me, yet I knowing,
you never took your eyes off me.
Allowing me to feel pain only strengthens me, my faith is doubled.
How marvelous you are, how awesome a God I have.
The overwhelming power of your Love and favour,
my heart grows beyond it's boundaries.
How could I ever doubt you?
My small little self.
The rain pours forth from the sky
as does your Love pour forth from heaven.
Together they cleanse and embrace all things you have made.
You are my God, the God of all.
Truth above truths.
Pardon above pardons.

Morning Prayer

This morning the importance of morning prayers filled my thoughts. So for those of you who don't have their own morning prayer, I am sharing mine.

For all these things I pray,

On the dawn of a brand new day,
A chance to start anew.

And all that I shall gain,
I will gladly give back to you.

Amen.

What if ...

... instead of spending my days fighting mental battles of frustration, discontentment and anger I would take all the issues surrounding my life circumstance and lay them down before God, take a seat at the foot of the cross and spend the day with Him, allowing Him to teach and show me the things only He can.

What if?

Would I dare to do such a thing? Could I do such a thing? Could I, for one day, humble myself before God and surrender all to Him?

What if ...

Fear not for I AM with you

Your sin can be forgiven.

He will wipe your slate clean and
create in you a new creation.

You can be forgiven
if you believe and profess
with your mouth
that Christ is risen
and Lord of all.

If you ask for forgiveness

then take it to the Lord.

Then with offering, 
thanksgiving and praise
go to the altar
and be still and know
that He is God.

Let his reign wash over you,
for He loves you and wants no less.
